Located at the foot of Fuhu Hill just one kilometer from the west of Baoguo Temple, as the must-pass for the visitors to go climbing Emei Mt, Fuhu Temple was originally built in Tang Dynasty(618 A.D.-907 A.D.) with its initial name of Shenlong Hall. As the mountain shaped like a crouching tiger behind the temple, so it was called Fuhu Temple then. The temple was destroyed during the war in Ming Dynasty (1368- A.D.1644 A.D.) and was enlarged in a large scale in Qing Dynasty (1616 A.D.-1911 A.D.), and now it has become a temple with 13 palaces in it, twisting and turning.
