The most popular hiking sections are Badaling, Jinshanling, Mutianyu, Simatai, Gubeikou, Jiankou, Huanghuacheng, Huangya Pass, Jiayu Pass and Water Pass; the most popular hiking routes are Gubeikou to Jinshanling, Jinshanling to Simatai.

Scenery:
The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest man-made wonders in the world. It stretches across eight provinces of North China, and its winding paths over the steep mountains offer awe-inspiring scenery and experience of ancient glory. As you hike along the winding paths and sometimes steep steps of the Great Wall, you will see the mountain ridges with precipitous cliffs on each side, watchtowers, oddly-shpaed rocks, the orgininal appearance of the wall since the construction hundreds of years ago.
