Day 1
Place & Transport: Arrive in Xian, Flight not included
Today's Activities: Airport Transfer (Xian), Muslim Street, Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Meals: Chinese Dinner
- Muslim Street: The 500-meter-long avenue paved by blue stones gathers many restaurants, food stands and souvenir shops, which are mostly run by Muslim people. A walk through the Muslim Quarter is an interesting experience,as it not only prvides good opportunities for food and shopping, but also see the vibrant life there.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda: It has become the symbol of Xi'an City since its construction in 652. The pagoda is about 64 meters tall, and it was built to house Buddhist sutras and figurines that Monk Xuanzang brought back from India. Ci'en Temple at the foot of the pagoda has several Buddhist halls and statues that are worth visiting.
Day 2

- Yuquan Taoist Temple: At the foot of Tianjing Mountain in the north of Tianshui City,With an area of 41,500 sq meters, Yuquan Taoist Temple is one of the best-known Taoist temples in China.

Day 3
Place & Transport: Tianshui to Lanzhou

- Mount Maiji Grottoes : 30 km southeast of Tianshui City, Mount Maiji Grottoes are one of the four best known grottoes in China. Maiji Mountain is 142 meters high and looks like a wheat stack. Hence it is called Mount Maiji. The mountain contains the east and west cliffs, where Buddhist idea and sutra content are expressed through clay statues and frescoes. The statues in Mount Maiji Grottoes fall into four categories: relief, medallion, sticking, and wall modeling. In a word, the statues in Mount Maiji Grottoes display the history of the development of clay statues in China.
- White Pagoda Mountain: The White Pagoda Hill is located at the northern bank of the Yellow River. It was named after the white pagoda on top of the hill. It was said that the pagoda was built in honor of a well-known Tibetan Lama who died of an illness in Lanzhou on his way to meet the founder of the Yuan Dynasty. Now the White Pagoda Park covers an area of more than 8,000 square meters. There are some special features waiting to be explored.
- Waterwheel Garden: The huge old waterwheel, originated from Ming Dynasty, is used to irrigate the fields along the Yellow River in ancient times in Lanzhou. The Waterwheel Garden, which is also known as 'Heaven Wheel', is built in honor of the old irrigative tool. It will be a thrilling experience for the visitors to tour the Waterwheel Garden to see the replica of the old irrigation system.
- Yellow River Iron Bridge: It is located at the foot of the White Pagoda Moutain.The Yellow River Iron Bidge is generally known as 'Zhongshan Iron Bridhe' and 'Zhongshan Bridge'. It is not only an old bridge in Lanzhou but also the first bridge built over the 5464-meter Yellow River in China. So it is called 'The First Bridge of Yellow River Under the Heaven'.
Day 4
Place & Transport: Lanzhou to Xiahe
Today's Activities: Cruise from Liujiaxia Gorge to Binglingsi( fast boat), Bingling Si, Our guide and driver will escort you from Lanzhou to Xiahe
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Dinner
- Bingling Si: Bingling Temple is famous for its caves, which were built between 3rd and 18th centuries. They are highly valued for their contribution to research into the history of Chinese painting, and the spread of Buddhism during that time. Between June and October are the best time visiting here.

Day 5
Place & Transport: Xiahe
Today's Activities: Gongtang Stupa, Songke Grassland, Labrang Monastery
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Dinner
- Songke Grassland: Songke Grassland is located in southwest of Xiahe. Being a natural pasture of Tibetan nomadic peoples, Songke Grassland is famous for its superb grassland scenery. As you ride on horse you can listen to the pastoral song, and feast your eye on the beautiful flowers and blue sky.
- Labrang Monastery: One of the major monasteries of the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) sect. The architectural layout follows the Tibetan style, while the construction patterns are mostly Tibetan, Han, or a mixture of the two. The White Towers (in the northeast and in the northwest) are very typical.
Day 6
Place & Transport: Xiahe to Tong ren
Today's Activities: Our guide and driver will escort you from Xiahe to Tong ren, Longwu Monastery, Wutun Monastery
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Dinner
- Longwu Monastery: Founded in the 12th century and currently has around 450 monks, Longwu monastery is the leading Yellow sect monastery in the Tongren region. It is one of the six biggest monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism in Qinghai Province. The local Tibetans are very proud of the Longwu Monastery where religious activities are held on lecturing, praying and examination.
- Wutun Monastery: There are two monasteries in Wutun village; one is upper Wutun Monastery, another is lower Wutun Monastery. These Monasteries is famous throughout Tibet for its beautiful artwork of Buddhist art of Thangka. It boasts a much livelier monastery as the location for ceremonies and festivities that draw crowds of local worshippers.

Place & Transport: Zhangye to Jiayuguan

- Wooden Tower of Sui Dynasty: Wooden Tower of Sui Dynasty was built in the Sui Dynasty and restored in 1926. It is 9 storied with a height of about 40 meters. It is said that Buddhist relics were once stored in this tower.
- Grand Buddha Temple: Located in Shandan County, the Grand Buddha Temple has the largest indoor reclining Buddha in China- the Nirvan Buddha, which was built in Western Hsia period (1098). It is recorded that the premier of Western Hsia once discovered a Buddha covered by a bluish-green tile, thus the Grand Buddha Temple was initially built.

Day 9
Place & Transport: Jiayuguan to Dunhuang

- The Jiayuguan Pass: Built in the Ming Dynasty, the Jiayuguan Pass was one of great strategic importance. The existing walls are the western end of the Great Wall, formed a strongly fortified defensive system. There are many legends concerning the construction of the walls. All of these stories give people a sense of mystery. Everyone knows the saying that he who does not reach the Great wall is not a true man. If you have not been there yet, take some time to start your trip.
- The Great Wall on the Cliff: The Suspended Wall is 11 km away from the city and 7 km away from the Jiayuguan Pass. It was built on the ridge with a gradient of 45 degrees. For the convenience of climbing, steps was built on the wall. Even though, it is still hard for visitor to make it to the top through the 400 steps. But it is worth the painstaking efforts when you are on the top, enjoying the peculiar scenery.
Day 10
Place & Transport: Dunhuang
Today's Activities: Mogao Grottoes, The Crescent Lake and Echoing-Sand Mountain

- Mogao Grottoes: Also known as "Thousand-Buddha Caves", it is one of China's three famous ancient sculptural sites. The construction began in 366 AD, and it contains some of the finest examples of ancient Buddhist art. The caves were carved out of sandstorm cliffs, and stretch 1600 kilometers from north to south.
- The Crescent Lake and Echoing-Sand Mountain: The Echoing-Sand Mountain is a sand crusted hill with singing sand phenomenon on sunny days. The crescent moon lake is situated between two large sand dunes, forming an oasis in the desert.

Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in Xian, Tianshui, Lanzhou, Xiahe, Tong ren, Xining, Zhangye, Jiayuguan, Dunhuang by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above). - Guide:
As outlined in the itinerary an English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city, who will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available. - Hotels:
Hotel fees are based on two people sharing one room with twin beds.
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified. - Transportation:
