Chongqing Hotpot

Chongqing Hotpot is the best-known food in Chongqing. It is said that the origin of the hotpot is closely related to the coldness in winter and the straightforwardness of Chongqing people. Hotpot is quite popular in Chongqing, which can be judged by the hotpot restaurants standing side by side. There are two kinds of soup, namely, spicy soup and bree. The spicy soup is featured by its spiciness, while the bree is tasty. Yuanyang hotpot is the combo of those two kinds of soup. The pot is divided into a shape of Taiji by a metal slice in the middle. One side is the container of the red hot soup, while the other side contains the clear bree. There are quite a lot of famed hotpot restaurants, such as Qiaotou, Xiao Tian’e, Lu Ningxiang and Su Dajia Hotpot Restaurants.
