Chongqing Travel Tips

1. Located in the east of the Sichuan basin, Chongqing belongs to subtropics monsoon climate region. Warm in winter and hot in summer, it is rarely snowy and frosty, but is often shrouded in clouds and mist. With the annual average temperature 18℃, it is one of the three hottest cities by the Yangtze River. Since it is hot in summer and rains a lot in autumn, spring and winter are the most suitable time to visit Chongqing.

2. The taxis in the urban area are all Lingyang cars, most of which are yellow and easy to be seen. The taxis are quite clean. The starting fee is 5 Yuan and 1.6 Yuan more will be charged every kilometer.

3. The transportation at the dock
Chongqing is both the starting and finishing points of the sight-seeing of the Three Gorges. Numbers of tourists take the Three Gorges cruise or get off it at the dock. The dock is 25 kilometers away from the Jiangbei Airport. It takes about 40 minutes by taxi. The price will be 40 to 60 according to the transportation condition.
