- the Former Residence of Shen Congwen: As the most dazzling culture relic in Fenghuang Ancient Town, the Former Residence of Shen Congwen is located in No. 10, on Zhongying Street of Fenghuang Ancient City, and it was built in the Qing Dynasty with a history of more than 100 years, which is actually the wood-structured Si He Yard in appearance.
- The East Gate Tower: The East Gate Tower is a two-storied architecture with the bottom part built by red sandstones and the upper part built by ancient red bricks. The frame structure of the tower is a combination of the “beam supporting structure” and the “through type timber frame”.
- The Former Residence of Xiong Xiling: Located in a small lane on Wenxing Street in the north of Fenghuang Ancient City, the former residence of Xiong Xiling’s is 200 meter (219 yards) away from the Tuo River, which is wood and tile-structured Si He Yard with a classic architecture style in southern China, and it is rather low but delicate in design. Now there are 4 rooms in the yard with strong Miao ethnic style, which are well- preserved as it used to be, and it is under the protection of the local government.
