Pearl River Cruise

History of Tianzi Wharf
Tianzi Wharf, have been in the longest use as a ferry in Guangzhou, also considered as the most important wharf of Guangzhou. During the Qing Dynasty (1616-1911), it was utilized as the specialized dock for receiving and departing officers. It was said that Lin Zexu boarded at this wharf and headed to Humen for destroying opium, which was marked the beginning of the Opium War. Sun yat-sen also boarded at this wharf for Northern Expedition, which eliminated feudal separation and ended the history of colony in China.
