South Lake Scenery of Guangzhou

The South Lake Scenery of Guangzhou was one of the national tourist holiday districts with the approval of the State Council in 1992. Located in Baiyun Mountain area, northern suburban region of Guangzhou, South Lake Scenery only takes about ten minutes driving from Guangzhou downtown. This picturesque scenery is the only one county-level holiday area in Guangzhou. With preeminent modern buildings, beautiful natural atmosphere and reasoning layout of gardens, South Lake Scenery is as beautiful as a harmonious art picture. 

 
History
The scenery has served as an imperial hunting resort since ancient times. Since the founding of People’s Republic China, state leaders were fond of living or touring in this scenery when they make a southern tour. As early as the 1970`s, South Lake Scenery was chosen by the provincial government to be a rest place for the central leadership after a meeting in goat city (nick name of Guangzhou). State leaders used to interviewed foreign officials there. Marshal Ye Jianying and comrade Deng XiaoPing planned and discussed affairs of state in this place. After established as the national tourist holiday district, South Lake Scenery achieved its continuous development of scale.
 
Facilities
South Lake Scenery is clustered around by green mountains and clean water which contribute spring-like seasons, fresh air and picturesque views. With an area of 15 square kilometers, this scenery composes of golf country club, hippopotamus sea water land and amusement park. Facilities, such as all-size meeting room, commercial center, multi-purpose singing and dancing hall, KTV, gym and beauty salon, will meet all your needs. The total amounts of investment has exceeded about 0.4 billion.

Tips:
1.Hippopotamus sea water land of South Lake Scenery occupies over 40,000 square meters. Many traditional items and new facilities are available in sea water land. Moreover, you can also find restaurants and other comprehensive service facilities.
2.South lake amusement park serves you many novelty and exiting items like white-water canoeing and roller coaster. Ball firing, barbecue, fitness center and sauna are also available.
3.The construction of a 27-hole golf course has completed and opens to you.
