Seven Star Park

Seven Star Park is located in the east coast of Li River. It covers an area of more than 600 acres. It got its name from the scenery of seven peaks in the park which looks like the shining Charles’s Wain. It is the biggest comprehensive park in Guilin.

As early as over 1000 years ago, Seven Star Park has become famous tourist attractions gathering Hump Peak, Mount Putuo, Seven Star Cave, Crescent Hill and forest of steles together. The park contains a rich cultural scenery spots. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has made a speech in front of the Hump Peak, thus it left a speech rock preserved till now. Here will we introduce two several well-known attractions of the park:

Seven Star Cave
The most famous attraction in Seven Star Park is Seven Star Cave in the mountainside of Mount Putuo. It got its name from Song Dynasty (960-1279), is one of the famous scenery spots of Guilin.

Flower Bridge
Flower Bridge is the oldest stone arch bridge in Guilin, situated on the bank of the Little Dong River at the entrance of the Seven Star Park. It was built during the Song Dynasty (960 -- 1279) and at first was named Jiaxi Bridge. There are 11 semi-circular holes at the bottom of the bridge, four of which are in the river with the other seven on the land. White jade railings line the bridge, and the top contains light green-colored glazed tiles. The long pavilion-looking bridge can sustain the rain and wind.

Tips:
1. It is cool from June to October and this time is suitable for climbing mountain in the Seven Star Park.
2. August to October is the tourist season here, and the hot weather bring the best time to watch the cave.
