Holiday Beach

As one of the major recreational resorts in Haikou City, Holiday Beach is located in the north of Qingling Avenue of Haikou City, and it is 6 kilometers (about 3.7 miles) long from east part-Xiugu Bathing Beach to west part-Wuyuan area, covering a total area of 54 hectares, which is 11 kilometers (6.8 miles) away from the downtown area and 3 kilometers (1.6 miles) from Xiuying, providing sunbathing, swimming, water sports and seafood restaurant services for the visitors from all over the world. Now it has become a recreational tourism attraction that combines natural landscapes and man-made sceneries, featuring an international beach city, where you can enjoy the fine views of the sparkling waters of the ocean, the sun-setting, the coconut trees, the warm sunshine and the blue sky.

The main features of Holiday Beach
The attractions in the holiday beach can be divided into 4 functioning sections from east to west: the Water Sports Section, the Seafood Restaurant Section, the Sunbathing Section and the Resort Section, which are praised by people from all over the world for its white sand beach, fresh air, bright sunshine and towering coconut trees as well as the well-equipped tourism facilities and the first-rate services. The visitor can surf as well as play in the ocean; they can appreciate different shows such as water ballet in an amphitheater on the beach.

The biggest entrance of the beach is located in the Sunbathing Section in the middle of the holiday beach, where lies an old and huge electronic archaized banian, dancing to music in the wind welcoming the visitors from all over the world. Setting your feet on the Sunbathing Section, you will see different parterres of all kinds of sizes, the semi-circle architectures in red and blue and colorful subtropical sceneries. It is a very ideal place for people to relax and entertain, especially for the families and lovers.

Getting there
Holiday Beach is located in the north of Qingling Avenue of Haikou City, and you can take a bus No. U1, U2, 28 and 40 to get there directly from the city center. It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.
