Buses

There are more than 40 public bus routes in Hohhot, and all the buses are automatic with minimum cost at CNY 1 within the city. Most buses can get to the main scenic spots in the city, including the White Pagoda, Wuta Temple, Zhaojun Tomb and Dazhao Temple. Besides, the No. 23 bus functions as a private tourism bus from the railway station to Wusutu National Forest Park, which runs every hour from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day.

Taxis

Taxi cost is CNY 6 for the first 2 kilometers in Hohhot, and extra CNY 1 and CNY 1.1 will be charged per kilometer in the day time and the night respectively. Visitors are suggested to bargain and make sure the cost before taking a taxi.
