Lu Yu Teahouse is located in No. 24-26 Stanley Street, Central, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Though Lu Yu Teahouse has a history of 60 years, it still maintains the style of old Hong Kong teahouses. The upholstery is antique. The elder waiters or waitresses dressed in traditional Tang suit, as well as nostalgic flavor of the dishes, arouse you a feeling that you seem to come back to teahouses in the 1950s or 1960s.

This teahouse has three stories in total. The first floor is used as the reception area for the reception of independent travelers. The second and the third floor are areas for group bookings. What is special is that you can taste lots of delicious snacks that will bring you a lot of trouble in making them. Such dishes as Big Chicken Balls with Gravy and Fresh Shrimp with Lotus Leaf Steamed Rice are rarely seen. They are the specialties of Luk Yu Teahouse.

Features:
The interior of Luk Yu Teahouse is quite antique. A number of Chinese calligraphy and paintings are hanging on the wall. The old sign at the entrance is still in use. Things like counters, screens, bells, vases, and abacuses are brimming with ancientry. The furniture moved from the old site to the current site is mostly made of rosewood of padauk. Spittoons are placed beside the table, which is one of the characteristics of the teahouse. On the one hand, spittoons can be used as a container by guests for spitting. On the other hand, guests and waiters can pour cold tea into them.

Tips:
If you want to go to Lu Yu Teahouse for tea, please come early, because most snacks there will have been sold out by 2:00 pm.
