As the terminal station of southern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Kashgar Railway Station is about 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) away from Kashgar city center, so the railway transportation is convenient. The bus No. 26 and 28 will take you to the city center from Kashgar Railway Station each day.

The train schedules between Kashgar and Urumqi are as follows:
1. No.7555/7558 train leaves at Kashgar Railway Station at 09:46 in the morning and arrives at Urumqi Railway Station at 5:19 in the evening in the following day.
2. No.7556/7557 train leaves at Kashgar Railway Station at 1:23 in the afternoon and arrives at Urumqi Railway Station at 19:49 in the following day.
3. No. N885/N888 train leaves at Kashgar Railway Station at 13:06 and arrives at Urumqi Railway Station at 12:17 in the following day.
4. No. N886/N887 train leaves at Kashgar Railway Station at 12:09 and arrives at Urumqi Railway Station at 11:04 in the following day.
