Lijiang Travel

The Lijiang City locates in the northwestern Yunnan, which is the connection of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, with the Tibetan Nationality Autonomous Prefecture in the north, the Dali Bai Nationality Autonomous Prefecture in the south and the Lisu Nationality Autonomous Prefecture in the west. Panzhihua City and the Liangshan Yi Nationality Autonomous Prefecture are adjacent to it in the east. Lijiang City covers 20,600 square kilometers, including the ancient city area, the Yulong Naxi Nationality Autonomous Country, the town of Yongsheng, the town of Huaping, the Ninglang Yi Nationality Autonomous Country and so on. • The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a snow capped mountain with an altitude of 5596 meters above sea level. The mountain has 13 peaks of which the highest is 18000 feet above sea level. Its high mountain and meadow views setting off the snow and rivers, construct amazing picture. It is a large patch of pasture tucked away hidden amongst a virgin spruce forest on the eastern side of the Yulong Snow Mountain.
• Shuhe Naxi Village: Also called Longquan Village, it was an important town on the ancient tea and horse route, and also the earliest settlement of Naxi people. The whole town is peaceful with flowing streams flow pass ancient houses and bridges.
• Tiger Leaping Gorge Hiking: Tiger Leaping Gorge is the one of the deepest gorges in the world. Its good paths high above the Yangtze River, magnificent view of Yulong Snow Mountain and First Bend of the Yangtze, ethnic villages, and inexpensive accommodation along the way make it one of the best and most popular hiking routes in China.

Most of the tourists choose to use Kunming as the transfer stop-fly to Kunming first, then go to Lijiang by air or by bus. The air journey takes about 40 minutes.
