The Lijiang Ancient City is an important concentrating and distributing center, also a main handcrafts origin in the northwest Yunnan. Almost all of the regional specialties of the southwestern China could be found here. There is a square street around 6 acres, called “Sqare Street”,  which is the most traditional bazaar in Lijiang with neat stores around it.

There are lots of small shops in the alleys selling handicrafts. Such as the Kunpai Art House, the Brother Artistic Space, the Art-Gathering Gallery, Bunongling, Dongba Workshop and the like. All of them are in fuller ethnic styles. Most of the confections are handcrafted so that they are relatively expensive.  For example, a simple bag is quoted 20 RMB which could be bargained to 12 RMB. You can not only buy the eligible commodities but also could see the whole making processes of the confections. We suggest mural collectors to buy the local murals of the Naxi Nationality which are deserved to be collected. The prices are from 15 RMB to 30 RMB. If you have special requirement, they could make the murals with the Naxi characters for you, which will be excellent as decoration on table surfaces
