Although the population number is not very big, there are over thousands of taxis in Lijiang. the per-capita taxi number have come top in Yunnan Province. Red cars of brand Xiali are main vehicles in Lijiang, which give convenience to the residents and tourists. The starting price of Xiali is 6 RMB, the price of Santana is 7 RMB. Since Lijiang is not large, 6 RMB is enough in most cases, meter running is not needed. Taxi drivers will raise the price following the government’s guideline.

The main taxi stop locates at the Jade Dragon Bridge which is in the connective area of the ancient city area and modern city area. Nearby the International Culture Communication center, there are some taxis to the scenic spots of Picea Lawn and Yufeng Temple. Tourists could align with the drivers about picking time and price. The native Naxi drivers could be trust, but you’d better ask for clear quotation and services.

Bicycle

For convenience and random, Many peoples like renting bicycle for sightseeing since Lijiang is not a big city. There are many places delivering bicycle renting on the Red Sun Square, the price is 15RMB per day. The Lijiang International Youth Hostel also has this kind of service only delivered their hotel residents.
