Nanjing Weather

The climate in Nanjing is very distinctive in different seasons with a subtropical monsoon climate, and the annual average temperature in Nanjing is 15.4°C. As “One of the Three Furnaces in China” together with Wuhan and Chongqing Municipality, the highest temperature can reach 39.7°C in hot summers around July and the lowerest temperature of -13.1℃ can be expected in winters around January. The springs are very amiable and warm with lots of rains, while the autunms are rather dry and cool. The best time to visit Nanjing is spring with booming flowers and flower fairs, and autumn with red maples trees and the smell of fragrant osmanthus as well.
