By Flight

For most visitors, the most convenient way to Sanya is by flights. There are many flight connections between major cities in China and Sanya (For example: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Wuhan, Qingdao, Shenzhen etc). There are regular direct flight connections from Moscow, St.Petersburg and many others to Sanya as well.

Sanya Phoenix Airport is located 11 km away from Sanya city, serving 80 destinations, including 57 cities (including Hong Kong and Macao) in China, and 23 cities in foreign countries. Arriving, departing or connecting, you'll find everything here to make your journey easy and enjoyable.

It is also very convenient to go from the airport to the city center. You have the following three options.
Option A is to take the No. 8 Bus at the gate of the airport. Ticket Price is about 4 RMB per passenger.
Option B is to take a coach at the gate of the airport and go to Jiefang 1st Road in the city center. Ticket Price is about 15 RMB per passenger.
Option C is to take a taxi to the city center and the price is about 30 RMB.

Railway

Everyday, there are regular departures from Beijing (Train No. T201/204, departure time 18:10, travel hours: 35 hours), Shanghai (Train No. K511, departure time 09:50, travel hours: 36.5 hours), and Guangzhou (Train No. K407, departure time 21:25, travel hours: 15 hours and a quarter) to Sanya. If you have enough time and want to see more scenery on the way, taking a train is a very good choice.

Highway

You could go to Sanya by buses from some mainland cities. However, it is really a tiresome and long journey. Therefore, this way is not recommended to tourists. But, if you are in Haikou (the capital city of Hainan province) or other cities nearby, you may choose this option
Note: In the bus station, you can find buses going to Sanya every 20 minutes. Ticket price is about 79 RMB . Travel hours: 3.5 hours

City Transportation

Public transportation in Sanya is very convenient; you can choose the following two ways:
Option A is to take the city bus, you will find the places you want to go on the bus stop board easily. The price is 1 RMB in downtown..
Option B is to take taxi, Starting Minimum Fare is 5 RMB including 2 km and then 2 RMBPer KM.
