Located at the end of the Century Road with the Century Square in the north, the Century Park is the biggest ecological city park in the inner ring of Shanghai, covering an area of 140.3 hectares (1,247,417 square yards) with 28 kilometers (15 miles) away from Pudong International Airport and 24 kilometers (13 miles) away from Hongqiao Airport, which is just like a green emerald embedded in the end of the Century Road, fully representing the noble theme of “the Harmony between Men and the Nature.”,  and it is also the essence of Chinese culture. The main features of the Century Park

There are vast lawns, forests and lakes in the park, representing the combination of the western and Chinese gardening arts. The whole park can be divided into 7 zones, which are the Local Rural Zone, the Scenic Overlooking Zone, the Lakeside Zone, the Sparse Woodland Lawn Zone, the Bird Sanctuary Zone, the International Garden Zone and the small-scaled Golf Field Zone respectively. There are open-air musical theaters, the Huiwu Square, the children's adventure playground, the fishing pond in the park as well, which are very entertaining for the people of different ages. There are gardening landscapes in the park as well, for example: the super-high column fountain, the musical fountain, the Four-Season Garden, the Century Bell and the large-scaled embossments. The highlight of the Century Park is that it is an ideal place for recreation and holiday: the trees and shrubs are verdant in the park, the flowers are in bloom throughout the year and the stream meanders with the shadows of the bamboos dancing in the wind, walking along the park, you will have a feeling the you are in the paradise, and the park is bestowed with the name of “the Holiday Garden”. The best time to visit the park is in April and May, when the activities of visiting gardens will be held for the visitors.

Getting there:

It is located in No.666, on the Mangmian Road in Pudong District of Shanghai, and you can take a bus No. 794, 640, 983 and 746 to get there directly from the city center, and you can also take the tunnel Line 3 and subway Shenchong Line 2 and 4 to get there directly. It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.
