Sanjia Port

As the nearest coastal resort from the downtown area of Shanghai, the Sanjia Port is located in the east part of the Huaxia East Road in Pudong New District of Shanghai, where the mother river o f Pudong District-the Chuanyang River flows into the sea. The attraction receives more than 15,000 visitors every day during summer and autumn every year.

Covering a water area of more than 446,503 square yards, the Sanjia Port has a 6 kilometer (3.7 miles) long coastal line with the beach area of more than 10,000 square meters (10,936 square yards), where the water meets the sky with pleasant climate throughout the year. The Sanjia Port tourism area is a famous attraction in Shanghai with recreational tourism as its theme, high technology as its support and tourists’ participation as its means, meeting the multi- demands of the different tourists, which features the Seaside Landscapes, the Modern Architectures, the Idyllic Flavor and the Green Heaven & Earth. The supporting facilities in the attraction are well equipped as well, and the main entertaining programs in the Sanjia Port are as follows: the bathing beach, the Sand Beach, the Sand Need-Fire, Watching the Sunrise from the Eastern Sea, the Sand Camping, the Seascape Wood Villas and the sand barbecues. You can walk into the coco forests to enjoy the cool shadow in summer, you can just sit under the beach parasol on the beach to enjoy the tasty coffee, you can also walk into the restaurants to taste the local seafood and you can also explore in the slide-way. When the night fall, you can watch the water screen film, appreciate the musical performance by the local artists and watch the stars in the dark night as well.

Getting there:

The Sanjia Port is located in the east part of the Huaxia East Road in Pudong New District of Shanghai, and you can take a bus Chuan 3 to get there directly or you can take a subway Line to Lujiazui firstly, and then take a Cailu bus to get there directly. It is open to the public from 8:00 am to 10: 00 pm every day.
