The Bund, an area of Huangpu District in Shanghai, usually refers to the buildings and wharves on a section of East-1 Zhongshan Road within the former Shanghai International Settlement, as well as some adjacent areas. It is one of the symbols of Shanghai.

City God Temple, as a most important part of the core of the old city of Shanghai, refers to the large temple complex. Today, it also involves the traditional district of commerce in the city, surrounding the temple.

The Oriental Pearl Tower is a TV tower in Shanghai, well-known as the third tallest tower in the world after the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada and the Ostankino Tower in Moscow, Russia. There is rich Chinese symbolism in the design. Its design is based on a verse of the Tang Dynasty poem Pipa Song about the wonderful sprinkling sound of a pipa instrument, like pearls, big and small falling on a jade plate.

Yuyuan Garden, located in Anren Street, Shanghai, next to the City God Temple, is considered as one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.

Huangpu River, about 97 kilometers long, is the largest river in Shanghai, along which there are lots of wonderful views. The Huangpu River Cruise is one of the best ways to see both old and new Shanghai
