The city of Shigatse, 300km away from Lhasa (the capital of the Tibetan Autonomous Region), is the second largest city in Tibet. “Shigatse” means  "manor with the best soil”, known as “Xikazi” or “Xikasangzhuzi” in Tibetan language.
