Shigatse Travel Tips

1. Mobile phones could get signals in Shigatse and some places in Tingri. Besides, there is no electric power in the Rongphu Monastery and the Qomolangma Camp, so you’d better take backup batteries for your mobile phones and digital cameras.

2. July and August are the rainy seasons in Shigatse area, with worse road conditions. Please prepare enough food and water in case the roads’ cutting by rainstorms. Rainy gears are not necessary since there is not much rain in daytime.

3. Don’t be crapulent on the plateau for avoiding the over burden on your intestines and stomachs. Please eat much vegetables and fruits containing numerous vitamins.
