Shigatse Weather

The Shigatse area locates in the zone of a river valley, plateau temperate climate and subfrigid semiarid monsoon climate nearly control the whole area. There are lots of characterizations of this kind of climate: clear dry and wet seasons, centralized raining, cold winter, ample sunshine, strong solar radiation, low temperature variety between day and night, high yearly temperature variety, short frost-free season and so on. For adventure to the Peak Qomolangma, October to next April are not good seasons since it’s cold in these month; July and August are rainy seasons, the Peak Qomolangma could not be seen clearly in mist and cloud. The best time for Qomolangma sightseeing are April, May and June.
