The Daguangming Cinema
The Daguangming Cinema has played an important role in the entertainment of Suzhou residents. It is located in the commerce and culture area, Beiju, Guanqian Street, covering an area of nearly 10,000 square meters. On the basis of Dadong P ark, which was built in 1927, it was rebuilt as the Suzhou Cinema and Daguangming Cinema respectively in July and October, 1931. Since 1991, it had been transformed to be a comprehensive culture center serving for commerce, residence, film, diet and entertainment. It took over two years and RMB40 million Yuan to finish the grand project.

The cinema has obtained high prestige with its long history, advanced facilities and high-quality service. In 1982, it became the first stereophonic cinema in Jiangsu.
