The Deyuelou Restaurant, firstly built in the Jiaqing Age is one of the oldest restaurants in Suzhou. It was rebuilt in 1982 located in the Taijian Lane, the downtown are of Suzhou City with a business area of 800 square meters. There are 12 dining rooms of different size in the present Deyuelou Restaurant. The construction of the two-layer restaurant was imitating the style of the ancient buildings, white wall and black tiles with graceful upswept eaves.

The restaurant is also famous for its original Suzhou Food, mainly making by stewing, simmering and warming. In the restaurant, the soup is light in color but thick in taste, juice sweet but not greasy, all tasted fresh and crisp and well maintain the original shape and flavor. It takes the special local products as its main sources, such as fish, crab, shrimp and so on. More than 200 dishes are prepared at all seasons. They are neither too sweet nor too salty, right for both children and adults. The Crabmeat Fin, the Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and other dishes are popular in this restaurant.
