Longji Terraced Fields

The Longji Terraced Fields are located in the Heping town in Longsheng, about 2 hours drive from Guilin. The terraced fields, like great ladders or ribbons, wind from the bottom of mountains to the top. They are distributed at an elevation between 300m-1100m (984.25ft -3,608.92ft) of Longji Moutain, covering a total area of 66 square kilometers in southeast Longsheng. Jiuzai Valley

Covering over 700 sq km, Jiuzhai Valley is part of the magnificent Min Shan mountains on the edge of the Tibetan plateau, north of Sichuan Province. Jiuzhai Valley first became a Park in 1978, and 14 years later,it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. In 1997 it is awarded the status of UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve, and has since received many other, well-deserved listings.
Jiuzhai valley literaly means ‘Valley of the Nine Villages’, and the nine villages remain spread around the valley within the Park, home to about 110 Tibetan and Qiang families. More than 100 gorgeous lakes are dotted in the park, which differ from others by having a high concentration of calcium carbonate. Waterfalls are the essence of the scenery in Jiuzhaigou. They are created between lakes on different levels with water flowing down the cliffs covered with trees.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

As one of the most important tourism cities in China, Zhangjiajie is located in the northwest part of Hunan province, which is 390 kilometers (242 miles) from Changsha City and 300 kilometers (186 miles) from the Three Gorges in the Yangtze River, and it 167 kilometers (104 miles) long from west to east and 96 kilometers (60 miles) wide from south to north, covering an area of 9,653 square kilometers (3,727 square miles) with Yun-Gui Plateau in the west, Dongting Lake in the east and Xuefeng Mountain in the south. Yamdrok Lake means “the jade lake in the upper pastureland” or “swan lake” in Tibetan. Lake Yamdrok Yumtso is 130 kilometers long from east to west and 70 kilometers wide from north to south,covering an area of 638 square kilometers.
