The Grape Valley
As the Hometown of the Grapes, the Grape Valley is rich in high-quality grapes of different kinds, which actually is 8-kilometer (5miles) long from north to south and 0.5-kilometer (03.miles) wide from west to east. Gaochang Ruins
As the best-preserved ruins of the ancient cities in China, the Ancient City of Gaochang, located at the foot of the Mutougou Delta in the south of the Flaming Mountain, is about 45 kilometers (about 28 miles) southeast of Turpan. Jiaohe Ruins
As the oldest, largest and best-preserved earthen city in the world, the Ancient City of Jiaohe is 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in the west part of Turpan with 1.65 kilometers (1 mile) long from south to north and 300 meters at its widest from west to east. It lies where two rivers meet on the loess plateau atop a cliff, which is the reason why the city gets its name, which means intersection.Read More
Karez Well
As one of the ancient major irrigation projects with Ling Canal and Dujiangyan Irrigation Project in China, Karez systems were introduced to the Central Asia and Persia 2,000 years ago by the diligent and intelligent Xinjiang Uygur people. Aydingkol Lake
