Mt Nan Pasture

Mt Nan Pasture is located 60 kilometers from Urumqi at the mountainous area in the north of Mt. Tianshan. From east to west, there are over ten valleys dotting the scenic area. It is not only a fine natural pasture, but also a natural scenic area for summer resort, leisure and sightseeing. Rolling snow-capped mountains surround the area, steep cliffs, deep valleys, verdant forests, blooming flowers, flowing streams, and fresh air all make the scenery even more charming. During the Tang Dynasty, this was a famous area for hunting and pasturing. In June 1990, Xinjiang South Pasture Scenic Area was officially listed by the provincial government as among the first patch of provincial scenic area.
