The largest commercial center in Urumqi is located in the area where Jiefang Road, Minzhu Road and Zhongshan Road intersect. Numerous shops and products are available here. All these are handmade and are good buys for souvenirs. Specialty products are pilose antler, donkey-hide gelatin, deer blood wine, Ili special spirit, and wine. Various fresh fruits are the most attractive products, such as grapes, honey-dew melons, pomegranates, almonds, figs, peaches, Korla fragrant pears, Ili apples and many kinds of dried fruits.
