Hubu Lane Breakfast Street
Address: Zhonghua Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan
Functioning as an ancient lane in the Ming (1,368 A.D. -1,644 A.D.) and the Qing (1,616 A.D.-1,911 A.D.) Dynasties, Hubu Lane has become prosperous since 1930s, with many breakfast stalls collecting on the lane. The breakfast varies from one to another here, among which the local snacks are as many as 30 kinds, and the famous specialties on the lane are as follows: Shi’s Hot Noodles with Sesame Paste, Wan’s Rice Wine and Xie’s Fried Cakes.
Qiaokou Gourmet Street
As the biggest dining street in Wuhan, Qiaokou Gourmet Street is 1,200 meters (1,312 yards) long with more than 30 restaurants on the street, operating Sichuan Cuisine and Guangdong Cuisine as well as Hubei Cuisine, and the dishes on the street are as many as 1,000 kinds. The specialties on the street are the Fish Balls with Citruses and the Hot Pot with Eels.
Jiqing Gourmet Street
Address: Jiqing Street, Jiang’an District, Wuhan
There are more than 100 sidewalk snack booths on the street, operating different kinds of local snacks with lower price, and you can appreciate the local artists performing here, which is really a window for showing the Street Culture in Wuhan. The specialties on the street are as follows: the River Snail in Hot Pepper Sauce, the Steamed Crawfishes and the Stewed Cattle Sweetbread Soup.
Shouyiyuan Gourmet Street
Address: No. 232, Pengliuyang Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan
The special-featured snacks of Hubei Province are concentrated on Shouyiyuan Gourmet Street, and you can taste the local snacks such as Ma’s Hot Noodles with Sesame Paste and Yunmeng Noodles with Fish on the street. The grand temple fair is held here during the Spring Festival every year, so it is awarded by “the Second Hubu Lane” in Wuhan.
