The Terracotta Warriors and Horses:
The Terracotta Army is the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of the First Emperor of China called Qin Shi Huang. Dating from 210 BCE, the terracotta figures were discovered in 1974 by some local farmers near Xi'an, Shaanxi province. The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century.
Shaanxi Provincial Museum:
Shaanxi History Museum, located in the northeast of the ancient capital Xi'an, was built in 1983, completed and opened up on June 20, 1991. It is the first large state-level museum with modern facilities. It is also the 4A –class scenic spot in China.
Ancient City Wall:
Ancient City Wall in Xi'an, located in the center of the city, is built in early Ming Dynasty on the basis of the Imperial City of Chang An of the Tang Dynasty. It has been considered as a symbol of great significance of the famous historic cultural city of Xi'an.
Located in a warm temperate zone, Xi'an has a continental monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. With mild climate and moderate rainfall, the city is hot and wet in summer, dry and seldom snowy in winter. Spring and autumn are favorite times to travel to Xi'an, though generally the weather is pleasant year round.
