Highway

Qinghai- Tibetan Highway, Qinghai- Xinjiang Highway and Qinghai- Sichuan Highway intersected in Xining, and there are buses from Xining to the major cities in China. The main bus stations in Xining are the Long Distance Bus Station and Xining Road Bus Station.

Xining Long Distance Bus Station

Address: No. 1, Jianguo Road, east of Xining, 600 meters away from Xining Railway Station
Buses in the station mainly run between Xining and the other provinces. The bus from Xining to Lassa departs at 4:30 pm every day, and the whole journey takes about 32 hours. There are 2 buses from Xining to Geermu at 5pm and 6pm respectively every day, which take 15 hours.

Xining, Xinning Road Bus Station

Address: located in the intersection of the Xinning Road and Yanhu Road, in the west part of Xining
This station operates buses to Gonghe County, Ledu County , Huangyuan County and some scenic spots in the province.
