Yichang Weather

Yichang has a subtropical monsoon climate which features distinctive seasons with a long spring and autumn every year. The average annual temperature is from 13.1℃ to 18℃; the hottest month is July with high temperatures around 28.8℃, and the coldest month is January with low temperatures around 1.7℃ although the city has many frozen-free days each year. The annual precipitation in the Yichang is about 992.0-1404.1 millimeters with the rainy months mainly concentrated in the summer. Also to note is that temperatures decrease as the altitude increases: the temperature decreases 0.6℃ with each 333-feet increase in altitude.
