Buses
As a small city, there are No. 1-10 buses in Zhangjiajie City, so you can take a bus to most scenic spots in the city. Now all the buses in Zhangjiajie are automatic with the ticket fare of CNY 1, so you have to prepare changes in advance, and the bus system operates with the runtime from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm every day. The buses No. 1, 2, 6, and 7 are leaving for Railway Station; the buses No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are leaving for the bus station; the bus No. 4 is leaving for Zhangjiajie Lotus Airport; and The buses No. 10 is a circulated bus around the whole city.

Besides, there are also medium-sized buses in the intersection of Huiling Road and Renmin Road leaving for the scenic spots in Zhangjiajie City every 10-30 minutes.

Taxis
The taxi is the most convenient vehicle in Zhangjiajie City, and the starting price of taxi is CNY 3 for the first 1.6 kilometers (1 mile), and the price will be CNY 1.6 per kilometer between 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) and 10 kilometers (6 miles) later, and you will be charged CNY 3.2 per kilometers over 10 kilometers (6 miles) in the day time. However, the price will be added by 30% from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. You’d better bargain with the driver about the price before you get in and ask him / her for invoice before you get off the taxi.
