Zhuhai is located in the southwest region of the Zhujiang River in the Guangdong Province with Macau to the south, Hong Kong to the east, Taishan to the west, and Zhongshan to the north. Zhuhai Attractions
- Meixi Memorial Archways: Covering an area of 143,519 square yards, the Meixi Memorial Archways were built in the 12th year (1886) and 17th year (1891) of Emperor Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1616 A.D.-1911 A.D.) respectively. They are in memory of Chen Fang, the first chief consul of Hawaii during the Qing Dynasty (1616 A.D.-1911 A.D.), and his parents for their great contributions to Zhuhai. Unluckily, one of the archways was seriously destroyed during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). Still, the Meixi Memorial Archways are famous all over China for their architecture that combines Western and Chinese styles as well as its delicate artistic carvings and were deemed key cultural relics under state protection in 2006.
- Former Residence of Dr Sun Yat sen in Cuiheng Village: Covering an area of 598 square yards, the Former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen in Cuiheng Village was built under the command of Sun Yat-sen in 1892 where he was born in 1866. Facing southwest, it is a brick-wood structured building with two floors and a courtyard surrounded by walls that combines Western and Chinese architectural styles. The residence was listed as a key cultural relic under state protection by the State Council in 1961.
- Shijing Mountain : Shijing Mountain is located in the center of Zhuhai surrounded by mountains and sea, neighbors Jingshan Park and Jiuzhou City on the left and right side respectively, and famous for its rare rocks of various shapes.
Zhuhai Weather
Zhuhai has a subtropical oceanic climate with rich solar energy resources. The average annual temperature is steady about 22.4℃ and the coldest month is January with low temperatures around 2.5℃. The rainy season is mainly concentrated from April to September when the southeast monsoon provides up to 85% of the annual rainfall volume, and dangerous typhoons and heavy rainstorms take place in June and October.
